What’s in our name?

Open – Inviting to anyone seeking a relationship with God and other individuals and families with the same goal for themselves and others.

Bible – Anchoring our opinions, methods, and knowledge of God to the written revelation of His perfectly preserved words which we hold in our hands.

Open Bible – Emphasizing the need for people to seek solutions to life’s problems in the pages of God’s word individually and collectively as a church and not the science, philosophy, and traditions of this world.  This is the heart of a Godly lifestyle.

Baptist – Connecting ourselves with a heritage of others that have come and gone before us bearing the marks of the New Testament Church holds us accountable amid contemporary worldly pressures.  Historic Baptists were not a denomination but rather early believers that were labeled with derogatory names like those in the Bible called ‘Nazarenes’ and ‘Christians’.

Church – Embracing the relationship Christ has with his bride, the church, the love of his life, the focus of his current earthly work.
